A Day in London
Wow!!! People read my blog, people commented... How cool to meet new people this way!
The Professor and I had a great trip. We flew to London and since I had never been there we spent one day. Continental Airlines has a bunch of private bathrooms with showers at Gatwick Airport, so we were even able to get clean after landing.
I live just outside Houston and get enough crowds and traffic at home, so I can take just so much of a city before I have to run to the countryside. We headed for Buckingham Palace & our timing was perfect.

Since there were about 5000 other people watching the changing of the guard, we wandered across the street to St. James Park. It is a little bit of heaven in the middle of the city.
Remember the apple trees in the Wizard of Oz -- the ones that threw the apples? -- well, here's one of them.
The flowers were incredible. Everywhere you looked, there were masses of them in every color of the rainbow.
I think I mentioned that I don't know what I'm doing?... I have just wasted 30 minutes trying to add another picture. I think I will stop here for today.

Pictures and everything! Wow...
And you said you didn't want to be a blogger....
Now to figure out a new template for you.... I don't think this one fits as well as I thought it did.
Great pics. I love the tree! Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for visiting me! I love St James' Park - did you see the pelicans? Really odd birds to see in the middle of London, but lovely to watch :).
A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His mouth can hold more than his belly can,
He can hold in his beak,
Enough food for a week!
I'm damned if I know how the hell he can!
Hi Mitey Mite - glad you enjoyed the sights - just popped over from Alley's blog to say hi and welcome you to blogdom
