Saturday Photo Hunt: Lost
Kigali, Rwanda
Lost: A million lives. Almost an entire generation. So many members of one family that there is no one left to claim the bodies.
This coffin contains Denise Ururu. I memorized her name so that someone left on earth will know that she lived. This post is to honor all those, all over the world, whose lives were lost due to man's inhumanity toward his fellow man.
"Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me."

How chilling!! And I love the thought that you remember her name for just the sake of remembering!! How wonderful.
Happy Saturday.
Mine's posted.
That's a good thought; I'm sure she will be remembered by all who visit your blog.
Michele sent me here.
Oh, how sad!
Lovely tribute to lost humanity.
You have planted a seed that will bear fruit many times in the years to come. Thank you for your touching tribute to a life lost.
Wow - my first visit to your blog but it definitely won't be my last. Very insightful photo today. I found it both disturbing and comforting that you remembered her. Man's inhumanity to man cannot and should not be tolerated.
Amen to you.
Mine is up now also.
Cheers.
I read an explanation by Jared Diamond as to why the genocide in Rwanda happened. He made it sound like it was inevitable. But nothing quite puts a human perspective on it like a photo of a coffin.
Great photo and reminder. It is sad that some people can be so inhumane.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind words.
A good thought. Thank you.
wow - now that is powerful! thanks for the visit.
Very deep interpretation of this week's theme, excellent! Love your quote too. Happy saturday :)
Powerful post. I wasn't expecting to see one like this today. Rest well Denise.
What a profound post. You really made me pause to think.

That's a wonderful and sad idea. Too bad the world is so violent.
