Saturday Photo Hunt: Antique

These paintings were done by my great-grandmother. Some of them are dated 1885.

This is my antique china cabinet. It holds an amazing amount of stuff!

This was the sounding board of my antique upright piano. It fell off a truck and was damaged beyond repair, but I couldn't bear to part with it. So I painted the carvings to match my bedspread and hung it on the wall as a headboard. Downside: I really need a new bedspread, but I don't want to repaint the flowers!

I LOVE the paintings and the cabinet. I love as well that rather than wallow in regrets, you made a headboard to keep that peice in your home. Very cool.

I love that china cabinet. We have two in our house that don't match, but we can't get rid of either.

How lovely to have a painting from your great-grandmother! And the china hutch is beautiful. We saved a board like that from an old piano, but haven't done anything with it.
