Travel Tuesday: Snowmass
We had two days of sun, but of course the day we remembered to take the camera, it was snowing and foggy. The snow was great, and we were getting down the mountain to the lift in about half the time it took to ride it back up. I guess that's not bad for a couple of old fogies -- I called us the Senior Mutant Ninja Skiiers. These pictures are from the Bull Run trail off the Elk Camp Lift at Snowmass CO. I love this run so much that I want some of my ashes scattered here after I die. It's a long, gentle slope through the trees, with some wide areas so you can always find fresh powder to make tracks in. I DON'T do moguls, and I have never felt the urge to ski a double diamond black trail; I just like skiing along fast enough to be exhilarated, but slow enough to enjoy the scenery. It was a great trip.

It does look beautiful up there in the mountains. I would like to try skiing again some time. (The last time I went was about 18 years ago!)
I do like your cute pink outfit, and the Texan ski hat!
Thanks for participating!
What exactly are you wearing on your head? We are going to Colorado....in August. No snow, but we will be on the motorcycles!
Crabgirl, that is an authentic Colorado squeezable, crushable cowboy hat with a cord so it won't blow off. It looked so cute in the store, but when I got the goggles on, I realized I looked just like a Ninja Turtle. Give me points for exposing myself to public humiliation, at least.
I know exactly what you been about going just fast enough, but not too crazy fast. I am the same way when I go snowboarding. Great scenery on that run of yours!
lol you look like the hamburgler...lol Like a snow bandit....but it looks lik eyou are having fun :)
